What is a Fixing Oven? Where is
it used?
Predominantly in the textile
sector, the process of cooking the prints made on a piece of fabric is called
fixation. Fixed furnaces manufactured for this purpose; It consists of conveyor
belt, warm cabin (average 5 meters), air circulation fans and exhaust chimney.
Pieces of fabric coming out of the printing machine are laid on the walking
conveyor and 120 ? It is exposed to a temperature of 140 ºC. The resulting
reaction gases are discharged from the exhaust.
The important thing in the fixation
furnace is to determine the appropriate temperature and to stay constant at
that temperature. In addition, the hot zone insulation must be done very well.
Otherwise, the heat will escape and the use of electrical energy will increase
in order to keep the internal temperature constant.
With the medium wave infrared
lamps used in Lamda Fixing ovens, the rate of fixation increases, while the
electrical energy used decreases by 25% on average. The reason for this is that
the medium-wave infrared light penetrates into the paint, accelerating the
chemical bond structure that is expected to form. There is no need for air
circulation for the heat to enter the paint. At the same time, the bond
structure formed increases the product quality and creates more vivid colors.
With infrared lamps, the desired
temperature in the oven is reached in an average of 5 minutes, and when the
desired temperature is reached, the lamps dim themselves and stabilize the
temperature. This is one of the most important reasons for saving electricity.
High density rock wool was chosen for oven insulation. In addition, with the
flap used in the chimney, the temperature is prevented from being lost while
the reaction gas is discharged.
