What is INFRARED MILL? Where is it used?

Fine-grained materials are difficult to heat homogeneously. While the parts on the upper side are overheated and deformed, the particles on the inside remain cold. When it is desired to spread the heat with high air circulation, the particles fly and stick to the heating elements or the exhaust. It is undesirable. Another way is to heat the material by mixing it. However, it is not possible to provide homogeneous heating with the mixer mechanism. Here, the healthiest method is to rotate the cylindrical stainless steel sheet body and to heat the material homogeneously by blending it with the infrared heating panels applied from the center.

Blowing hot and dry air from the panels will have a positive effect so that the dust and particles that will be formed by blending do not stick to the infrared lamp and the aluminum reflector behind it.
The channels on the inner wall of the stainless body will ensure that the material both mixes and moves towards the exit with the rotation. With the rotation speed, the residence time of the material can be adjusted.

Regional temperature reading and temperature control can be done with heat sensors placed between infrared heating panels and the material. Thus, the feed rate as well as the temperature can be fixed at the desired level in the inlet-middle-output regions.

This system is an important station that increases the production speed, especially in fully automatic facilities that contain from the raw material silo to the final product receiving unit. Because the most sensitive and time-consuming part of the production is the dehumidification, preheating or cooking of the powder material.
